By now, I am sure people who are fans of either LiSA, Demon Slayer (鬼滅の刃) or Aimer would already know the news – LiSA and Aimer are going to sing the themes songs for the upcoming Demon Slayer movie! The movie is called “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” or「鬼滅の刃」無限城編 第一章 猗窩座再来. The Japanese name is longer to cover the context that it is the first part of the Infinity Castle and seems to focus on Akaza (and Upper Rank Demon). With so many Hashiras involved and culminating with inevitably intense battles with the demons, it is something that is bound to be exhilarating (personally I was disappointed with the Hashira Training Arc which felt like a filler arc to me so I hope that it can reignite my interest again).
Other than the animation quality that is to be expected from ufotable, one important aspect would that is needed for the film to succeed would be the theme songs. It is imperative for the theme songs to evoke the necessary emotions that would be conveyed in the dramatic or touching scenes. For now, as I am an anime only viewer, I have no idea what will happen next in the story, so I just hope that the music/songs would fit perfectly like it did for the previous Mugen Train movie.
Theme Songs
So far, we have not been informed how the two theme songs would be used, but it is possible for one to be an intro and one to be an ending song. The two songs are LiSA’s 残酷な夜に輝け (Shine in the Cruel Night) and Aimer’s 太陽が昇らない世界 (A World Where the Sun Never Rises). We will find out latest by 18th July 2025 since there will be the premiere screening in Japan where the voice actors / actresses and singers will also attend! Personally in Singapore, I would probably need to wait another month or so at least.
Above you can see the CD singles that already have the cover images (namely the Regular versions) and below are the Limited Release versions which do not have the cover images yet and which will include a Blu-Ray disc, a 3 sided cover and mini poster that would come with Demon Slayer illustrations. Personally, for LiSA’s CDs, I prefer her full height photo image over the regular version of her face which is motion blurred, but I will still buy the Limited version first. Interestingly, there are also various bundle “Double Set” where if you buy both singer’s CDs, you could get additional store bonuses. There seems to be many variations, so I would not delve into those here but do check them out as well.
For those that somehow have problems arranging international delivery from Amazon.jp, you could also try CDJapan for LiSA’s 残酷な夜に輝け and Aimer’s 太陽が昇らない世界.
Based on the title of the songs, I guess that Aimer’s one would be more sorrowful and LiSA’s song would be similarly sad but with a tinge of hope. To be honest, it is difficult to imagine songs that can beat previous viral hits such as 紅蓮華. 炎 or 残響散歌 and hence, I can imagine that to be asked to sing another theme song for Demon Slayer, it is both a great opportunity and also a great challenge for both of them, but I am sure they will relish this chance to climb to yet greater heights.
Either way, I can’t wait to listen to both songs as soon as possible. Talking about that, did you know that you could also pre-save it to your Spotify List so that you could hear it immediately upon release. Think those lucky people in Japan or USA could even get a bonus image as well.

Anyway, happy listening and I will add my thoughts of the songs in the near future. Although the two songs are completely separate, but wouldn’t it be cool if we could see both LiSA and Aimer on the same stage together again like that one event they did before in Tokushima 2018? I would love to see it happening, so fingers crossed.
